Lotus Evora GX is the new racer to take part in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series.
British automaker has replaced the SMC and RTM composite panels with carbon fiber. The vehicle has new doors, roof and engine cover. Lotus designers have used Plexiglass instead of the polycarbonate windows.
The Evora GX Racer is equipped with new aerodynamic package including new front splitter, front bumper, and the standard Rolex Series rear wing. To meet other Grand-Am racing series requirements, ABS and traction control have been removed.
Lotus Evora GX features a new fuel filler system, Continental tires, and yellow headlamps. The heart of the racer is 4-liter V6 engine with 440bhp and 440Nm of torque, mated to an XTRAC six-speed sequential paddle-shift. The interior complies with all the race-spec requirements, particularly the bucket seats, the roll bars, and the race steering wheel. The British motor sports leader has priced the Evora GX at $335,000. The racer will be built to order.
