Fiat unveiled the 2013 Fiat Turbo, a sportier version of the Italian subcompact, at the Concorso Italiano, in Monterey, one of the largest gatherings of Italian cars in North America. The 2013 Fiat Turbo features sportier styling inside and out with a more athletic look as well as improved aerodynamics. Interior features include the studio-quality Beats by Dr. Dre audio system as well as sport-styled seats, shifter and steering wheel.
It is powered by a 135 hp, 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine producing 150 lb-ft. of torque that features twin intercoolers and sport-tuned exhaust to provide 34 percent more power and 53 percent more torque compared to the naturally-aspirated version of the 1.4-liter engine in the Fiat 500. It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission designed for quicker acceleration and a faster top speed, while still getting up to 34 mpg on the highway. Handling is also more precise with a sport-tuned suspension, steering and front lower-control arms as well as track-proven brakes.
The 2013 Fiat 500 Turbo arrives this fall with a starting price of $19,500.
